When the Mermaid reached the shore of her little island, the Star begun slowly floating in the air. The Mermaid tried to sing a high note, and the Star rose a little bit higher, until it reached the top of the tallest tree on the island. There it stuck and begun shining warmly down. At that moment, the Star of Christmas lit up at the sky. It had seen the Mermaid's efforts and shifted from its usual place to complete the star constellation so that no ships would go lost.
